Cela est simple et peu co\u00fbteux. La contrepartie est qu&#8217;il faut laisser cet ordinateur allum\u00e9, et que si c&#8217;est un ordinateur sous Windows, l&#8217;administration et la gestion des donn\u00e9es et des droits d&#8217;acc\u00e8s ne sera pas tr\u00e8s fine. C&#8217;est pourquoi existent les <a title=\"NAS sur wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Serveur_de_stockage_en_r%C3%A9seau\">NAS<\/a>, ou &#8220;Network Attached Storage&#8221; pour\u00a0 serveur de stockage r\u00e9seau. Ces derniers sont de petits ordinateurs, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement sous Linux, et d\u00e9di\u00e9s au partage des donn\u00e9es. Leur consommation est faible, et ils poss\u00e8dent une interface d&#8217;administration plus ou moins compl\u00e8te et bien faite. Les mod\u00e8les Synology ont par exemple tr\u00e8s bonne r\u00e9putation. L\u2019inconv\u00e9nient majeur est toutefois leur co\u00fbt : il faut compter environ 150\u20ac pour un NAS \u00e0 un disque,\u00a0 250\u20ac pour deux disques, et bien souvent plus de 500\u20ac pour quatre disques. En outre, bien certains mod\u00e8les comme ceux de Synology soient tr\u00e8s &#8220;customisables&#8221;, et aient de nombreuses fonctionnalit\u00e9s, on ne peut pas n\u00e9cessairement faire tout ce que l&#8217;on souhaite dessus. Enfin, les processeurs embarqu\u00e9s dans les mod\u00e8les les moins chers sont peu puissants, et offriront de plus faibles performances.<\/p>\n<h3>Mon projet<\/h3>\n<p>Pour toutes ces raisons, j&#8217;ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de fabriquer mon propre NAS, \u00e0 partir de composants de PC standard, d&#8217;une distribution Linux, d&#8217;un peu d&#8217;huile de coude, et en bricolant un peu. Tout cela afin d&#8217;obtenir un NAS pouvant accueillir un grand nombre de disques, offrant de bonnes performances, l&#8217;encombrement le plus restreint possible pour sa capacit\u00e9, tout en \u00e9tant extensible, et un co\u00fbt tr\u00e8s mod\u00e9r\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>La premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape est le choix du mat\u00e9riel. Pour maintenir un encombrement restreint, j&#8217;ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de m&#8217;orienter vers le format mini-itx pour la carte m\u00e8re. Celle ci fera donc 17x17cm. De nombreuses cartes m\u00e8res dans ce format sont disponibles, dont certaines embarquent un processeur. J&#8217;ai choisi la solution du processeur int\u00e9gr\u00e9 \u00e0 la carte m\u00e8re pour r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts et la consommation. Le choix a donc \u00e9t\u00e9 entre les AMD fusion et les Intel Atom. La carte m\u00e8re inclut 6 ports SATA 6Gbits\/s (dont un externe), 4 ports USB3, un port r\u00e9seau Ethernet Gigabit (bas\u00e9 sur une puce <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realtek.com\/products\/productsView.aspx?Langid=1&amp;PFid=5&amp;Level=5&amp;Conn=4&amp;ProdID=239\">Realtek 8111E<\/a>, avec support des <a href=\"http:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jumbo_frame\">jumbo frames<\/a> 9K), un port PCI express 16x, ainsi que deux ports DDR3 pouvant accueillir 4Go chacun. En outre, il y a un circuit wifi et Bluetooth int\u00e9gr\u00e9, et un circuit graphique, avec des sorties DVI et HDMI, ainsi qu&#8217;un circuit son 5.1. Cette carte pourrait donc \u00e9galement \u00eatre le c\u0153ur d&#8217;un PC multim\u00e9dia de salon. La carte n&#8217;incorpore aucun ventilateur, le bruit sera donc nul. Elle fournit 180W de puissance, tout en ayant des dimensions tr\u00e8s restreintes : 40.3 mm de hauteur, 81.5 mm de largeur pour 150 mm de long. Un ventilateur de 40mm est pr\u00e9sent \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur, sur la face oppos\u00e9e au connecteur secteur. On peut donc mettre cette alimentation sous un \u00e9l\u00e9ment du bo\u00eetier sans craindre de bloquer le flux d&#8217;air. Le ventilateur est tr\u00e8s silencieux, et sa position le rend encore moins audible. Ce mod\u00e8le m&#8217;est revenu \u00e0 40\u20ac.<\/p>\n<h3>M\u00e9moire vive<\/h3>\n<p>Pour la Ram, j&#8217;ai choisi des modules <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gskill.com\/products.php?index=239\">Gskill DDR3 1600Mhz<\/a>, pour environ 20\u20ac la barrette de 4Go. Ainsi il sera possible de passer \u00e0 8 Go si je le souhaite en rajoutant une seconde barrette (J&#8217;ai en fait pris un kit de 2*4Go, la seconde barrette sert \u00e0 une autre machine).<\/p>\n<h3>Stockage : syst\u00e8me et donn\u00e9es<\/h3>\n<p>Pour installer le syst\u00e8me, afin de ne pas g\u00e2cher de port SATA, j&#8217;ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de prendre une cl\u00e9 USB3 de 16Go que je r\u00e9serverai \u00e0 cet usage. J&#8217;ai opt\u00e9 pour une <a href=\"http:\/\/www.corsair.com\/flash-voyager-usb-3-16gb-usb-flashdrive-cmfvy3s.html\">Corsair Flash Voyager USB3<\/a>, pour une vingtaine d&#8217;euros.<\/p>\n<p>Pour ce qui est des disques durs, j&#8217;utiliserai ceux que je poss\u00e8de d\u00e9j\u00e0, \u00e0 savoir principalement des Western Digital Caviar green 2To et des Seagate Barracuda Green 2To, tous en SATA. Les mod\u00e8les &#8220;green&#8221; tournent moins vite et sont donc un peu plus lents, mais consomment moins, et surtout chauffent moins. J&#8217;ai choisi ces mod\u00e8les, car un disque dur chauffant moins risque moins de d\u00e9faillances. En outre, pour les adeptes du silence, ils sont peu bruyants.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00c9quipements r\u00e9seau<\/h3>\n<p>Le mat\u00e9riel r\u00e9seau utilis\u00e9 peut avoir son importance. Je suis donc connect\u00e9 \u00e0 un switch <a href=\"http:\/\/www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk\/Shop\/ShopDetail.asp?ProductID=4312\">3com 8 ports gigabit Ethernet<\/a> (supportant les jumbo frames \u00e0 9K),  et c\u00e2bl\u00e9 en RJ45 <a href=\"http:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/C%C3%A2ble_cat%C3%A9gorie_6\">cat6<\/a> ou au pire <a href=\"http:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/C%C3%A2ble_cat%C3%A9gorie_5\">cat5e<\/a>, et<a href=\"http:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Paire_torsad%C3%A9e#Paire_torsad.C3.A9e_blind.C3.A9e\"> blind\u00e9 en SSTP ou SFTP<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Co\u00fbt global<\/h3>\n<p>Le co\u00fbt de la carte m\u00e8re, du processeur, de la ram et de l&#8217;alimentation se monte donc \u00e0\u00a0 environ 200\u20ac. Il me faudra cependant un bo\u00eetier. Et pour cette \u00e9tape, les bo\u00eetiers mini ITX n&#8217;ayant ni le format qui me convient, ni un co\u00fbt abordable, j&#8217;ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de fabriquer le mien.
